Hi all,

I did not forgot you, i'm only busy IRL and working on the next release of CoCoNet.
It will include, as previously mentioned, a new map, an improved AI based on the Atari ST AI and some bug fixes.

I don't know the release date but it will take some more time depending on my spare time.

After that i will try to help polishing the user made custom maps.

Take care & cya soon :)

I'm doing good progress. The new map seems fine and I'm finishing tweaking the new AI (actually playing at level 3 :P)
There should be a public beta release this week.

No, not playing any RPGs, that's not my thing. I just like designing things in a steampunk Fashion. When you decide to repackage Coconet into a high res game - give me a call! I enjoy the graphics and making the thing work.

I look forward to the release.

Thanks, glad you like it.

I never played the C64 version of colonial Conquest, but according to the disassembly, it shares the same code and rules of the 800 XL one.
The Atari ST version uses some different and buggy rules. Even if the gfx and sfx of CoCoNet are based on the Atari ST, it uses the rules of the 800 XL.

I have almost finished alpha testing the next release.

Here's a teaser of the new map. You may recognize a known Amiga game. Imho, it fits well the style of the game:
