You get the error then you do... what? Clicking "host" for starting the game? Or by selecting the computers/player?

Can you start CoCoNet with the standard map?

And please post your logfiles.

Oh, erm... thats my fould. Im using winrar instead of winzip and .rar is the tools default compression method. I was just a bit inattentive. Maybe I should write me a script for that ... grml. I'll update the file in the next minutes with some updates. I planed to make it the last update, but in this case theres missing something. Next update comes someday in the next week - before my vacation.

@TCMgenX - glad you got it fixed. Windows often hides the file suffix so it can be hard to tell what the file type is. With XP/Vista I always unhide file prefixes. If you have a rar file instead of a zip then you can see it a lot easier.

The "nieuw standard" has set a new standard for the game... It is enjoyable and a lot harder to win. I have only played in on levels 5 with an occasional random major elevated to 6. Makes it harder to play. With CC pre-v1.0I could easily win with all the majors at level 9+ and now it is a struggle, just on level 5 especially at the start of the game.

This is good.

Im glad you like it. :)

Well, I've done the final update. There are lots of news (see edited posting) ... I have no idea for a new version, but bug reports and suggestions are still welcome.

I'm planning to make a new scenario in the next month. This would be an "WorldWar-1 european theatre" scenario, but Im not sure if the AI act like I want it to be. Well.. we will see.

Nice map Christine.
It's fun to play with new world countries.

Is it intentional the boats have a black background ?

The fill of the Turkey should be few pixels lower.

The next release will help you to find such cases with the "Preview Fills" feature.

Hi Christine,
wanted to take a look at your scenario, but it seems the xml file is missing in the zip?
In the zip dizt3mp3r posted it's there but it's not the updated version...
Greetz, Monty

Hello Christine,

I'm testing the compatibility of your map with the upcoming release of CoCoNet v1.1.0.

Did you notice the background of the boats is black ?

Hi,

I tried your map, it is great. I did many games with AIs only, to test the balance of the countries, and I noticed some problems:
- England wins most of the games (as in the normal game)
- USA and Japan are particularly weak.

I did a slight adjustment, which seem to work quite well : I can still see England and Germany win the game, but also Spain, USA, France, Russia or even Austria ^^

Here are the changes :

England : Army offensive & defensive factor to 2. As a tradeoff, army cost is lowered to 5.
USA : Army cost down to 3.
Japan : Navy cost down to 4.
