New map 'Conquistator'

Hi all, it has been quite some while - 10 years to be exact, but I am back working on a new map for Colonial Conquest.

There has always been a map that I wish existed - one that specifically covers the colonisation and conquest of North America. My plan is to have three major powers: Great Britain, France and Spain and three Native American nations: Apache, Cherokee and Sioux.

The map will be called 'Conquistador' which means: a person who is out to conquer new territory. A conquistador was the name given to the Fifteenth-to-Seventeenth century Spanish and Portugese soldiers who conquered much of the world, most famously the Central and Southern Americas.

I will continue to post regular updates as development of the map progresses. Please let me know your thoughts...

Hi all, work continues at pace. United States completed now on to Canada.

North America is now mostly complete - just needs a little fine tuning.

Next up will be Europe.

Here is my latest update which shows the three major European nations: Great Britain, France and Spain and I'm really pleased with how it has turned out.

Next up I will be experimenting with ways to improve the overall visual presentation of the map so look out for the next update which will show a much more complete view of the map.

I have made great progress in the last few weeks with the map now close to being finished. I have added a vintage map overlay to the background which I feel is very effective.
